# To subscribers of the xforms list from Clive A Stubbings <xforms@vjet.demon.co.uk> :
I've got an application that I want to be able to get characters with
ascii values > 128 into - eg UK pound, french grave/acute accented
chars etc. In an Xterm I'd just use ALT-SHIFT-3 for pound, however
xforms just ignores that.
I've lashed something up using a hairy pre-handler for the input
objects that looks at the object, its type, the event and the
key and mangles stuff accordingly...
Its a bit of a ghastly approach, but it does work.. Thinking about it
though, I can't be the first person to have run into this, so does
anyone have a better solution?
Cheers
Clive
