When I type "make", there is a long list of error message. This is an
example of them (the others are just like this one):
gcc -c -O -I../FORMS -Ifd scrollbar.c
gcc -O -s scrollbar.o -o scrollbar -L../FORMS -ldforms -lXpm -lX11 -lm
ld: can't opne -lXpm: no such file or directory
It seems to me that the compiler could not find Xpm. I searched *Xpm*
through the /usr directory, and here is the result:
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4.10
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.a
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4.11
/usr/lib/tix4.1/demos/samples/Xpm.tcl
/usr/lib/tix4.1/demos/samples/Xpm1.tcl
/usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libXpm.so.4
/usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libXpm.so.4.2
/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib/libXpm.so.4
/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib/libXpm.so.4.9
Also the files related to xpm* in /usr are:
/usr/X11R6/bin/xpmroot
/usr/X11R6/include/X11/xpm.h
/usr/bin/xpmtoppm
/usr/doc/xpm-devel-3.4j
/usr/lib/gimp/0.99.12/plug-ins/xpm
/usr/man/man1/xpmtoppm.1
What is the difference between xpm and Xpm? Should I somehow change
something in mkconfig.h (for example, SYSLIB, LDFLAG, etc.)??? Could
anybody please help?
Many thanks,
Gang Chen
