I'm already doing an XFlush() but I'll try an XSync() -- it may be
that the server treats them different under IRIX 5.x. SGI's X server
makes me yell a lot.

Hmmm... I'll try something like that and see what happens.
Here's another clue (maybe). After doing the resize, I have to force
a redraw of the form. Otherwise the buttons and other active objects
on the form don't get redrawn until the cursor passes over them.
